Terms of Service

1. Who we are
These Terms govern access to and use of the Bettr web application, previews, share links, and related services (the "Service") operated by Bettr World Limited("Bettr", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
Bettr helps organisations launch a branded chatbot preview from a website URL, customise appearance, sync knowledge-base content, and share a read-only preview with colleagues. Live website embeds may remain locked until a paid plan, waitlist conversion, or pilot unlock is granted.
3. Accounts and preview projects
You may start without an account. Anonymous sessions can create a preview project tied to a browser cookie. When you sign up or sign in, you may claim those projects into your account. You are responsible for activity under your credentials and for keeping invite links confidential.
4. Share links
Share links let colleagues view a branded preview without signing up. Share links do not grant edit access or unlock embed code. You must not share links in ways that violate applicable law or third-party rights. We may revoke or rotate share tokens if misuse is suspected.
5. Your content and websites
When you submit a URL, we may scrape publicly available branding and site content, discover sitemaps, and upload material into a knowledge base used by the chatbot. You represent that you have the right to provide that URL and content for this purpose, and that doing so does not infringe others' rights or breach your organisation's policies.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service, attempt to access others' projects without authorisation, reverse engineer the Service except as permitted by law, overload infrastructure, or use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content.
7. Third-party providers
The Service relies on subprocessors such as hosting, authentication, and conversational AI platforms (including Voiceflow). Their availability and terms may affect features you see. We are not responsible for outages or changes outside our reasonable control.
8. Plans, pilots, and embeds
Pricing pages describe current or forthcoming plans. Until billing is enabled, embed unlocks may be granted manually for pilots. Features marked "coming soon" are not guaranteed.
9. Intellectual property
Bettr retains rights in the Service, branding, and software. You retain rights in your organisation's content. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" for preview and evaluation. Chatbot answers may be incomplete or incorrect. To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bettr World Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to NZD $100 or the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim, whichever is greater.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, or operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability) continue after termination.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any non-excludable consumer rights you may have.
